17/06/2019

LONDON –  17 June 2019: The Smart Cube, a global provider of research and analytics solutions, has been shortlisted with its client, Smart DCC Ltd, in the 2019 CIPS Supply Management Awards, for their entry “Smart DCC drives performance improvement and innovation”.

Smart DCC Ltd (DCC) is licensed to manage the secure national infrastructure that underpins the roll-out of smart meters across the UK. In mid-2018, DCC began developing a world-class supplier engagement capability to drive performance improvement and innovation, and manage risk. The team recognised the need for a system that allows for high visibility of supplier data and intelligence. Following a rigorous procurement exercise to identify a third-party partner, The Smart Cube was selected to work in collaboration with DCC and its strategic suppliers.

Through its Supplier Engagement solution, The Smart Cube is responsible for gathering monthly performance data, and producing a set of dashboards, presenting a holistic view of each supplier relationship, along with key insights which enable DCC to maximise its strategic relationships. With a combination of fact-based intelligence and regular governance meetings, DCC has driven improvements in supplier performance and innovation.

Commenting on the news, Gautam Singh, CEO and Co-Founder of The Smart Cube, said: “We are thrilled to have been shortlisted for our work in partnership with Smart DCC. Through our Supplier Engagement solution, our specialist team provides intelligence, analytics and insights that have enabled DCC to enhance supplier performance and encourage innovation. The value of strong strategic supplier partnerships has never been higher, and it is gratifying that our approach has been recognised by the CIPS Awards.”

Roger Maybury, Head of Supplier Relationship Management, Smart DCC said: “The Smart DCC SRM programme has helped DCC to better manage its suppliers, have fact-based discussions over supplier performance and drive both performance improvement and innovation.  The monthly supplier dashboards produced for Smart DCC by The Smart Cube have enabled Smart DCC to carry out this activity.”
